Attention comes in two flavours: welcome and not.
Clearly at least one unsavoury person had insinuated him/herself among the steady stream of appreciative visitors at this past Sunday's open house and "Salon des Refuses" at the Artisan Village. Ironically Shane (Shane Myers, initiator of the Artisan Village) and I had been discussing security arrangements just before the event, but had put that on the back burner pending the completion of the open house and art exhibition. Having thus cased the building, on the night of Monday/Tuesday the unsavoury one/s broke in. Among the items stolen was all of my jewellery.

I've put some pictures of the stolen pieces below, both in overview and in close up. I don't have pictures of everything alas. Ring, sterling silver, inlaid deep recessed copper, side bands 14K gold;   Ring, sterling silver, inlaid deep recessed copper, side bands 14K gold &   Forged slender sterling silver ring with Brazilian cat's eye tourmaline,   center - please keep an eye out for this - unique, totally unmistakeable, golf-ball size brown nodule of Ethiopian precious opal ("the opal eye"), rounded polished surface on one side with pronounced "eyeball" pattern;   Ring, sterling silver, deep inlaid copper, side bands 14K gold;   Rightmost ring in groove: wide ring heavy sterling silver, inlaid copper.
